"Bodge Hill Road, April" is a studio painting inspired by a plein air sketch. This is a beautiful area of Moultonborough, New Hampshire. The light that day was a clear, pale yellow that I associate with spring, before the arrival of pollen and moisture which warm the light and create a haze. I wanted to convey the sense that spring is just around the corner. Oil on linen, 20" x 16".
